PET FIRST AID

Our Pet First Aid Course is a one day course run over 6 hours and we deliver the courses available in Queenstown, Dunedin & Invercargill.

Our Pet First Aid Courses are run with Pet First Aid (NZ) & Instructor Flip Collins from Remarkable Dogs, where we educate both pet owners and those working in the industry on animal first aid and emergency situations.

Our manual covers over 20 different medical situations and the course is hands on for all attendees. You will get the opportunity to learn CPR and Rescue Breathing on specially imported mannequins from the USA and also practice your bandaging skills on live animals.

Learn to recognise everyday poisons that are around our home, how to recognise the symptoms and how to help stabilise your animal until you can get professional help.

This course will empower you and give you confidence in an emergency situation. Topics covered include rescue breathing, CPR, shock, hypothermia, poisoning, broken bones and so much more!

Our course is  accredited through NZVNA Continued Professional Development for registered vet nurses - Brush up on your emergency first aid skills and earn CPD points towards your registration. The Pet First Aid Course can  be completed as part of the Bronze Skill Section of the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Awards. Check with your school if they are part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award or contact us for more information. We are sponsors and active members of Animal Evac New Zealand.  We offer all qualified Animal Evac volunteers a discount rate - contact us directly to take advantage

Our pet first aid course is run over 6 hours with each successful participant receiving a certificate valid for 2 years.
